Sometimes a period is just a comma

In the rush of life, we often find ourselves focusing on endings — as if everything must have a final point, a clear stop. We draw lines in the sand, marking moments and events as conclusions, as closed chapters. But what if, instead of a period, it’s really just a pause? A comma. A moment to breathe, to reflect, and to prepare for what comes next.
A period feels definitive, like a full stop, something that signals the end of a story. Yet, in reality, the most powerful moments of our lives don’t end — they shift, they evolve. They are pauses, transitions, and continuations. What we often view as the conclusion of one phase could actually be the beginning of another. A new paragraph, a new chapter, or even just a different thought.

We are conditioned to think that things must come to an end in order to move on. But maybe life is trying to tell us something else. Maybe it’s not about finality, but about possibility. About embracing the in-between moments where we have the opportunity to change direction, to see things in a new light.
Those moments that seem like endings are often just life’s way of giving us space to grow, to adapt, and to prepare for the next sentence — the next adventure.

So, don’t rush to put a period where life intended a comma. Don’t be afraid to embrace the pauses. Don’t see every transition as an end, but as an opportunity to take a breath and start something new. Life is full of commas — moments of potential that invite us to step forward, not with finality, but with curiosity and openness.
